Active duty soldiers from the U.S. Army are bringing the pillars of military life to the stage in a 90-minute song and dance production.

"Army Strong" is the title of the 2012 U.S. Army Soldier Show.  A performance is scheduled at the Oñate High School Performing Arts Center in Las Cruces on Wednesday, August 22, from 1pm - 6pm.

The production touches on the mental, physical, spiritual and family issues that U.S. soldiers experience.

The show dedicates certain sections to legends of the entertainment industry such as Etta James and the Rolling Stones, along with newer artists like Maroon 5, Christina Aguilera and Lady Gaga.

The troops are on a five month tour to perform 60 shows in 31 different venues.
