Abuse Suspected In Child's Death

EL PASO -- A 1 year old girl has died allegedly at the hands of her mother.

Joanna Rene Castillo passed away Thursday after being in the intensive care unit since Saturday, according to Sheriff's officials.

Her mother, Maria Estrella Hernandez has been charged with injury to a child.

Those charges could be changed pending the autopsy results of the girl.
