Austin, TX (KTSM) — More fireworks are expected at the state capitol Friday as the Texas Senate is expected to vote on a controversial abortion bill. House Bill 2 would ban abortions after twenty weeks and would force all but five abortion clinics in the state to close. The legislation is expected to pass.
Two weeks ago the senate failed to vote on a similar bill after Senator Wendy Davis held a 13 hour filibuster. Davis had planned to visit El Paso Friday as part of a pro-choice rally with Planned Parenthood. That rally has been postponed because of tomorrow's vote.
