Investigators are still on the scene of a deadly train accident in Midland, Texas.

Authorities say four people were killed and 17 others got hurt.

The city of Midland spokesperson said that a train slammed into a parade float at a Union Pacific Railroad crossing.

The float was headed to a West Texas parade and banquet honoring wounded veterans.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.

If the trucks (floats) were headed to the parade & not actually in the parade itself then why in the heck did they have the veterans sitting on the trucks flatbeds? At the very least they should of had several police units escorting the trucks since they had the veterans sitting in open flatbeds! In my opinion this is negligent behavior on the part of whoever planned those floats. Never again should such a mistake be made!!! God Bless those who died and were injured.
