253 pounds of Marijuana seized at port of entry
CBP officials say they made a big drug bust at the El Paso Port of Entry at the hands of a teenager.
The seizure was the largest drug bust made this week by CBP officers working in El Paso, West Texas and New Mexico.
Officers found 253 pounds of marijuana Wednesday, hidden inside a Ford Ranger pick up. CBP says the driver was acting nercous and a drug sniffing dog found the drugs.
CBP officers arrested the driver, 19-year-old Rodolfo Daniel Salazar Rodriguez of Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico.
He turned over to and arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement HSI agents in connection with the failed smuggling attempt.
