2011 Teen Fest
EL PASO - If you have a kid or teen at home who still has nothing to do this summer, don't tear your hair out; the city has some ideas for you.
Today's Teen Fest at Cohen Stadium hopefully gave some parents a little inspiration.
They had face-painting, board games, a car show, live music, and even some exotic animals to play around with.
It also kicked off the library's summer reading program. If you've got a child who likes to dive into a good book, it's not too late to sign up.
"As you can hear, the music is going strong, we've got all kinds of community agencies represented, sharing information with teens on what they have to offer," said Mark Pumphrey, the deputy director of EL Paso Public Library, about the event.
