12 Officers to Graduate from Doña Ana County Detention Center

After seven weeks of hard work, 12 detention officer cadets will graduate from the Doña Ana County Detention Center. Sgt. Luis Contreras trained the cadets at the detention center's Basic Detention Officers' Academy. Cadets learn from physical training, classroom instruction and field experience.

District 3 Doña Ana County Commissioner Karen G. Perez will deliver the commencement address, and Doña Ana County Probate Judge Alice Salcido will administer the oaths of service.

The 12 cadets will graduate at a ceremony in the Commission Chambers of the Doña Ana County Government Center at 845 N. Motel Blvd. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 22. The public is encouraged to attend.

The graduating cadets are David Austin, Jon Blanco, Gustavo Gutierrez, Thomas Hill, Gregory Maddox, Ruben Nuñez, Daisy Ramirez, Juan Roman, Chastity Sanchez, Jason Sauceda, Jillian Shane and Humberto Zamora.
