10 Bus Routes Detour for Downtown Street Festival

Routes 1, 4, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 33, 59 and 204 will be detoured due to the Downtown Street Festival beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday, June 28, through 1 p.m. Sunday, July 1.

Four streets will be closed off to traffic for the festival. These streets are as follows: Santa Fe between San Antonio and Franklin, Main between Santa Fe and Oregon, Sheldon Court between Santa Fe and Mills.

The Durango overpass behind City Hall also will be closed between San Antonio and Missouri from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, June 29, and Saturday, June 30, for a fireworks display.
Drivers will make courtesy stops along the detoured routes when it is safely feasible.

Route 1 Detour
Evening buses traveling outbound, east on Missouri will turn left onto Santa Fe, right onto Wyoming, right onto Kansas returning to the regular route.
NOTE: The morning route will not be affected.

Route 4 Detour
Buses traveling outbound, leaving the Union Plaza Transit Terminal will turn right onto San Antonio, right onto Santa Fe returning to the regular route.
Buses traveling inbound, south on Durango in front of City Hall will pick up passengers who need to travel outbound (north on Durango) due to the detour.

Route 9 Detour
Buses traveling outbound, east on Missouri will turn left onto Santa Fe, right onto Wyoming, right onto Oregon, servicing the bus stop at Oregon near Missouri, left onto Franklin returning to the regular route.
Buses traveling inbound, north on El Paso will turn right onto San Antonio, left onto Stanton, left onto Missouri returning to the regular route.

Route 10 Detour
Buses traveling outbound, north on El Paso will turn right onto Paisano, left onto Oregon, left onto Franklin, right onto Santa Fe returning to the regular route.
Buses traveling inbound, south on Santa Fe will turn right onto Missouri, left onto Durango, left onto San Antonio, right onto Santa Fe returning to the regular route.
NOTE (AFTER 9 PM): Buses traveling inbound, south on Santa Fe will turn left onto Wyoming, right onto Oregon, right onto Paisano, left onto Santa Fe returning to the regular route.

Route 11 Detour
Buses traveling outbound, from the Downtown Transfer Center at Fourth will stay on Fourth, turn left onto Oregon, right onto Franklin, left onto Mesa returning to the regular route.
Buses traveling inbound, south on Mesa will turn right onto Yandell, left onto Oregon, right onto Fourth into the Downtown Transfer Center.

Routes 14 & 15 Detour
Buses traveling outbound, from the Downtown Transfer Center at Fourth will stay on Fourth, turn left onto Oregon, right onto Main, left onto Mesa returning to the regular route.
Buses traveling inbound, south on Mesa will turn right onto Yandell, left onto Oregon, right onto Paisano, left onto Santa Fe returning to the regular route.

Routes 33 &59 Detour
Buses traveling outbound, from the Downtown Transfer Center at Fourth will turn left onto Santa Fe, right onto Paisano, left onto Campbell and enter I-10 east via the entrance ramp.

NOTE: On Thursday, June 28, only, Route 59 buses traveling outbound, from the Downtown Transfer Center will turn left onto Santa Fe, left onto Paisano, right onto Durango, pick up passengers at Durango and West Franklin, turn right onto Missouri, left onto Santa Fe, right onto Wyoming, returning to the regular route.

Route 33 buses traveling inbound, west on Missouri will turn left onto Kansas, right onto Paisano, left onto Santa Fe returning to the regular route. Route 59 buses traveling inbound will not be impacted.

Route 204 Detour
Buses traveling outbound, north on El Paso will turn right onto Paisano, left onto Oregon, right onto Main, left onto Mesa returning to the regular route.
Buses traveling inbound, south on Mesa will turn right onto Yandell, left onto Oregon, right onto Paisano, left onto Santa Fe, right into the Downtown Transfer Center.

Now see. . . . if these were Streetcars on tracks or Tollies on tracks, they WOULD NOT be able to
detour. Events like this would have to move to accommodate Streetcars on railroad tracks going thru downtown.
