EL PASO- “Amanda Knox got justice in Italy. We pray Daniel gets justice in America.”
That's just one of the messages on the latest billboard supporting the El Pasoan who says he was wrongly convicted of murder.

Daniel Villegas claims he was forced into confessing to a double murder 18 years ago and one of Daniel’s main supporters, John Mimbela, is putting up billboards like these to raise awareness while he and his family fight for a retrial.

“Daniel's case is the same thing as Amanda Knox. There's no physical evidence whatsoever, yet she got convicted. It does happen; we just need to correct it. We need to look at case by case. If it happened let's fix it,” says Mimbela.

Villegas' hearing will resume on November 10th.
