El Paso, TX (KTSM) — Wednesday's Service Salute was sent in by Hilary Schlotterback. She told us we are looking at her husband, SPC Brandon Schlotterback.
Hilary said he is a true hero and survivor. When Brandon was 14, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. She said he fought back hard and beat it. Hilary told us Brandon always wanted to join the military but due to his cancer, it took him ten years to get into the Army. He has served in Iraq and Afghanistan and is now stationed at Fort Bliss.
Hilary went on to thank us for our Service Salute and said we have made them feel very welcome in El Paso.
Thank you for the great message and for being part of Service Salute.
