Conrad Murray Found Guilty of Involuntary Manslaughter in Michael Jackson Case
Dr. Conrad Murray has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson.
Gasps from the courtroom gallery were heard as the verdict was read.
The jury took just nine hours to reach their decision.
Murray was immediately remanded into custody and taken to the Los Angeles County Jail for processing.
Prosecutors painted Murray as a reckless physician, who abandoned Jackson while he was under the effects of the powerful anesthetic Propofol.
Murray's defense blamed Jackson, claiming the singer was addicted to drugs and administered the fatal dose himself.
Murray faces up to four years in prison and the loss of his medical license.
