"....I voted for what I thought was right"? What? You were hired to represent the community's vote on issues. The community voted NO. Instead of dismissing our vote you should have granted the voters wishes. By taking matters into your own hands you shot yourself in the foot.

Just do us a favor and resign. The voters are speaking laud and clear.

He thinks he is standing up for what He believes is correct? He voted his own way and threw away the overwhelming vote against this issue. How is that correct? I feel sorry for these kind of people who think the commoners are stupid so he has to do what HE thinks is right. Doesnt anyone with common sense see how wrong this is?

Regardless of what the mayor and the city reps have to say about the recall votes, the simple truth is that they took the vote/power of the people away by overturning the final decision that El Paso wanted.

Cook, Byrd, & Ortega are no better than a bad police officer who violates peoples' rights because "he thought it was the right thing to do". I don't hate gays. I WILL VOTE TO GET RID OF THESE THREE UN-AMERICANS SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY VIOLATED OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS. The Recall serves one main purpose: it returns power to the people and gets rid of politicians who preach democracy but don't practice it. Gays should hire attrys to get rid of ordinance & keep City Council and El Pasoans out of it.
