A Lubbock, Texas woman is suing Continental Airlines over a flight experience that made her fear for her life.
Colleen O'Neal says her 2009 flight from College Station to Houston was supposed to take 20 minutes. Instead, O'Neal says she experienced two and a half hours of extreme turbulence.
"I thought I was going to die, O'Neal said. "There was no doubt in my mind that I was going to die. Alarms were going off, the plane just kept dropping and it felt like we were falling in the sky."
O'Neal says she has been suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder ever since. She's taking medication and seeing a therapist. O'Neal says she may never fly again.
She says she's suing because the airline failed to properly monitor weather conditions and put her life in danger. O'Neal says she doesn't want this to happen to anyone else.
Continental Airlines says they have not had a chance to review the lawsuit and have no comment at this time.
