Woman Collects Donations for Victims of Fort Davis Wildfire
EL PASO - A woman drove several hours to help those who fled their burning homes in this week's wildfire near Fort Davis, TX.
Amy Cavness-Hardy collected donations for the Jeff Davis County Relief Fund at the Walmart off Transmountain Thursday evening.
Water bottles, baby car seats, and yard supplies were donated.
23 homes burned down in the wildfire this week.
She says everyone there, including her own family, has been devastated by the disaster.
"I don't think they realize the devastation. Hundreds and thousands of acres have burned, livestock have burned, Horses have burned, antelope, deer, the ranches, that's their livelihood, and they lost it all."
Cavness-Hardy says she'll return to El Paso Friday and Saturday to collect donations. She told us that she would be willing to drive to your home to collect donations.
