Weather Affects Bus Schedule

11:06 update

An accident on Loop 375 involving personal vehicles is requiring Sun Metro to detour Routes 3 and 42.

Job Express will be closing at noon due to deteriorating weather conditions.

Job Express is a 24/7 transportation service operated by Sun Metro meant to provide flexible-route and demand-response service for individuals who are transitioning from welfare to work. The service provides transportation to job training, education, employment and child care destinations for eligible clients.

Sun Metro Job Express clients seeking service updates can call 867-4254.

We will continue to monitor the weather and provide updates about Job Express, as well as, Sun Metro’s fixed route and LIFT service, via email as the day progresses.
8:55 update

Sun Metro will begin detour all West side routes because of treacherous road conditions. All routes will travel along Mesa Street only until conditions improve.

Impacted routes are: 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
 

8:33 a.m. update

Sun Metro will begin detouring Routes 36 and 41 due to weather conditions. Fort Bliss Military Police have closed the road into Beaumont Hospital which impacts Routes 36 and 41.

Sun Metro's fixed-route service and LIFT, paratransit service, are running on the regular schedule with some delays caused by road conditions.

Service is particularly impacted on the West side of the city.

Sun Metro passengers are asked to please have patience as drivers work through the icy conditions. The public is asked to please be courteous to Sun Metro buses and fellow commuters to help prevent unnecessary accidents and anxiety.

Sun Metro urges passengers who do not have to venture out to stay home.

Helen of Troy
Festival
Mesa Hills
Carousel
Westwind/Escondido
Thunderbird/Escondido
Shadow Mountain

Sun Metro is working with the El Paso Transportation Department to help improve accessibility.

LIFT passengers with medical appointments are asked to please call your medical facility to determine if the business is open because Sun Metro has learned that some medical facilities are closing due to the weather.

I have not been able to watch Channel 9 News anymore. The reason is that the young lady with the "unibrow" looks like a terrorist and I get scared when she comes on. Her eyebrows are obviously drawn on by a very bad makeup artist. Can someone PLEASE give her an eyebrow makeover? Thank you very much.
