U.S. Marshals Bust Suspect While He Checked Mailbox

FARMINGTON, NM- U.S. Marshals arrested a man this morning after staking out the man's residence and waiting for him to check the mail.
Ramon Lurbe, 26, was arrested in Denver, Colorado on charges for Criminal Sexual Penetration of a minor stemming from a June 2010 incident involving a 14 year old girl.
On June 27, 2010, Lurbe stalked a 14 year old female at the Francis Canyon Campground located at Navajo Lake. During the night, Lurbe snuck into the female’s tent and sexually assaulted her. The warrant for Lurbe was issued by a Grand Jury Indictment in Rio Arriba County.
Due to the outstanding response by the Deputy United States Marshals assigned to the District of Colorado and the Northern District of Illinois, one of New Mexico's Most Wanted fugitives is behind bars and is no longer a danger to our community".
Ramon Lurbe is in jail in Colorado and awaiting his extradition back to New Mexico to face charges of Criminal Sexual Penetration of a Minor (3 counts), and Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor.
