TxDOT to Issue Warrants for Breathalyzers

TEXAS- Today, Texas becomes the first state in the country to institute a statewide no-refusal campaign for the July 4 holiday weekend, which has repeatedly ranked as the deadliest holiday of the year for alcohol-related crashes.
More than 200 law enforcement agencies across the state will seek warrants to draw blood from any driver suspected of drinking who refuses to submit to a breathalyzer test. This means, saying "no" to a breathalyzer will not get you very far in escaping a DWI charge.
The crackdown begins July 1 and ends at Tuesday, July 5.
