Three Downtown streets are completely shut down right now and later this evening they will fill with thousands people and music. The 9th Annual KLAQ Downtown Street Fest kicks off tonight at 6:00.

We were there this morning as crews worked to set up on Santa Fe, Main and San Francisco streets. They're now filled with 4 stages and dozens of vendor booths for food, drinks and entertainment.

Organizers say around 30,000 people are expected to attend the two day party which lasts until 1:00 a.m. each morning.

"Every year the Downtown Street Festival gets bigger and bigger. This year it's going to be a great event. It's two days: Friday and Saturday. Setup has been going on for a couple of days now as vendors are getting ready and stages are getting set,” said Pifas Silva with the El Paso Convention Center.

Tickets are $15 in advance for adults and $5 for kids, and they recommend you buy early because tickets are $25 at the door.
