One of the most popular shows on NBC is back tonight. "The Biggest Loser" kicks off season 13 with a new twist. NewsChannel 9 Tonight's Oralia Ortega had a chance to speak with trainer Bob Harper for a preview of what's to come.

Twenty new overweight contestants are faced with a three-part challenge as soon as they arrive at the "The Biggest Loser" ranch for the premiere of season 13. "It's going to be really exciting because this season is going to be about 'no excuses', so we're going to be looking at all the excuses that we all use and put them to the test," said Harper.

Harper and company are back for what's expected to be the most dramatic season in the show's history. "You come in as a couple. You might come in with your husband, your wife, your brother, your sister, your mother or your father and we're going to separate you into opposing teams," said Harper.

He says that created a lot of drama but it also tested the contestants in a way it never has before. "I really try to get every single person that comes on the show to be able to rely on themselves, to be able to stand on their own two feet, so they don't need anyone else," said Harper.

This season has no shortage of interesting characters. "We've got an ex Olympic power lifter. We've got a former wrestler. We've got a man who's a professional Santa Claus," he said.

On the show, they've had women lose 150 lbs. and men lose up to 250 lbs. Bob says even though only one will be the biggest loser who wins the $250,000 prize everyone walks away with something priceless. "On our show, everyone wins at the end because you get your life back. You get control of it. You have a healthier body. You can't put a price on that," said Harper.

"The Biggest Loser" airs Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m. right after NewsChannel 9 Tonight at 6:30.
