EL PASO- Another new law that took effect today allows a speed limit up to 80 miles an hour in some places in Texas, including some of the roads leading into and out of El Paso.
A local spokesperson for TxDot says they're evaluating roads that are marked now at 70 miles per hour. If they raise the limit it might only go to 75 and it could be a year before anything changes.

Omg are you joking me, if anything they need to lower them. I can't even count how many wrecks i have seen in the past 2 yrs living here, not including the ones we were almost involved in to neglagence of other drivers. An personally anyone that doesn't live in this country that comes from Mexico needs to have car insurance and needs to stop filing claims on our insurances. Do they really want more people causing wrecks an innocents losing their lives.
