Most students and teachers look forward to the summer for a nice vacation. But one El Paso teacher is hoping for a summer gift that will save his life.
For 16 years, Ruben Barron has taught television production and broadcast journalism at Hanks High School. He wants to continue teaching but he needs a liver transplant and is looking for a living donor.
The liver is the only organ that will regenerate and grow back so up to 60 percent of a person's liver can be transplanted into another person.
If he can find a donor Ruben will pay travel and hospital expenses as well as hotel and meal expenses and reimburse the donor for lost wages (dependent upon circumstance/employment) You can contact Mr. Barron at rbarron@yisd.net
