Swine Flu Concerns

Friday, July 17, 2009 - 7:15am

In the middle of July we didn't expect to still be talking about the swine flu but we are because people are still getting sick. That has physicians worried about what will happen in the fall and winter.

So far in El Paso county there have been 381 cases of swine flu and seven people have died. City Health Director Michael Hill says it appears the number of people getting sick is tapering off but we've seen 27 new cases in the last week. That's surprising when you consider that normal flu would have been stopped in its tracks by the hot summer months.
