Strong Winds Knock Down Electricity In Northeast El Paso

NewsChannel 9 has received several reports of wind damage across town.  The strong gusts managed to knock down electric poles in Northeast El Paso.

This happened on U.S. 54 near McCombs just after 4:00 p.m. Monday. A viewer sent us pictures of the downed power lines. Nearly 2,000 customers were without electricity. Power was restored two hours later.
El Paso Electric crews continues to work on those power poles.
