EL PASO- Police have released the name of the woman killed in a head-on collision on US-54 this morning.

Imelda Diaz, 34, was in the passenger seat of Econoline Prisoner Transport Van when an Army MRAP collided with the van. No one in the MRAP was injured.

At this time investigators do not believe speed or alcohol are factors in this crash. The van had a total of 8 occupants inside, the driver a guard and 6 prisoners. The 6 prisoners appear to have not been wearing seatbelts prior to the crash. All other occupants were secured in their vehicles by safety restraints. All other injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

Hopefully justice will be served with these military people who think they are on top of the world. Innocent people are dying because these people know nothing will be done to them. Its not the only time something like this happens with military personnel who are idiots and just dont know how to drive and act in public. Military people may fight for our country but are dumb idiots when it comes to abiding by the state laws. Justice needs to be served with this case
