An El Paso Police Department K-9 tracked a wanted man who fled from police Saturday. Officers looking the man wanted on several outstanding warrants in the 1800 block of Cliff St. learned that Carlos Duran had ran out the back door of home in the area. Officers initiated a search and called for the assistance of a police K-9 unit. The K-9 unit was able to track Duran to the 1700 block of Rampart where he was hiding inside a vehicle that wasn't his own. Duran refused to get out of the vehicle and was taken into custody after a brief struggle with officers. The 20-year-old was booked into the El Paso County Jail on multiple warrants including Assault on Public Servant (Probation Violation NO BOND) and Unauthorized Absence from Community ($15,000.00 bond).
