A Central El Paso center that provides federal assistance to low-income families has moved to a new location. A grand opening ceremony took place this morning for the Pershing Women, Infants and Children Center. The new WIC location is about a mile away from the old one. The new building refrigerated air, new waiting area furniture, areas for children to play and much more room for expansion.
"We have moved into a bigger location and are able to service another 1,500 clients from the area, as well as the Northeast part of town," said WIC Services Director Bertha Amaya.
