Ocean Day at Country Day School

Monday, May 18, 2009 - 5:31pm

Having a party at an elementary school is not unusual, but we found a party that is a big part of the learning process. For the past several weeks students at the El Paso Country Day School have been studying the ocean and now they're sharing what they've learned.

Each student chose an ocean animal to research. They learned about where it lives, what it eats, how big it gets. This whole process is called integrated learning, using various learning techniques to achieve a goal.

The El Paso Country Day School is a small secular pre-K through 12th grade private school. The first, second and third graders all go to school together and help teach one another. You can learn more at www.epcds.org
