More than 700 new spaces will open to UTEP students starting tomorrow.
A new parking garage, known now as PG-2, will open on time and under budget for the first day of UTEP's spring semester. Construction began in October of 2010 at a cost of 12.4 million dollars. The money came from bonds that will be repaid through parking revenues.
An annual parking pass will cost $295.00, but that rate begins in the fall of 2012 and lasts an entire school year. Right now there are discounted rates available to students for the spring and the summer semesters at a price tag of $171.00. Better hurry, because the available parking spaces are disappearing fast.
