There's a new art sculpture near the Paso del Norte Port of Entry. An "aguacero" as it's known has been put up at the Lions Placita. The 45-foot abstract steel sculpture evokes a desert downpour. The piece of art was commissioned as a welcoming gateway for commuters traveling northbound into El Paso.
The artist, known as Sebastian, is considered Mexico's foremost living sculptor. The work of art is part of improvements planned for the international bridges in Downtown El Paso.
