EL PASO - El Paso Police and FBI Agents raided a home on the 3200 hundred block of Rain Dance Drive on Wednesday morning.

Investigators say they found more than 2,000 pictures of child pornography inside.

Those pictures allegedly belong to 34-year-old Miguel Eduardo Gomez. He's charged with possession and distribution of child pornography. Gomez is also a registered sex offender.

"I've known since he moved here he was a sex offender. All the neighbors know about it," said one neighbor, who wanted to remain anonymous.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety website, Gomez sexually assaulted an 8-year-old boy in 1994. Because of his status as a convicted sex offender, he's listed in the sex offender registry.

"It does make me feel uncomfortable because he's a sex offender. It does make me worry," said the neighbor we interviewed.

But the neighbor also worries because of Gomez's recent arrest and the new child porn charges. The neighbor says Gomez has been living with children off and on.

"What bothers me is that he's got kids in there. Their ages range from 12 on down. I think there are two boys and a girl."

No one came to the door when we went by Gomez's house.

Police say they expect to recover more child porn as the investigation goes on.

Gomez is in jail with no bond.
