A fire on North Mesa has messed up the evening for many of the bars and restaurants in the Cincinnati Street area. Most of those businesses are simply full of smoke, but some could be facing much bigger problems.
The fire started at about 9:30 this morning at a vacant building at the corner of Baltimore and Mesa. Investigators are treating it as arson. They say a man told them he got into a fight with another man inside the building, stabbed the other man and set the fire. Police are looking for the other man who was allegedly involved. They're checking hospitals for anyone with burns, smoke, or stabbing injuries. The fire did an estimated $150,000 in damage.
