Man, Woman Sought in Copper Theft

LAS CRUCES- Crime Stoppers is offering a hefty reward for information about a man and woman who stole copper on two occasions.

Early in the mornings of May 6 and June 28, two people were seen stealing copper from the Burlington Northern rail yard on Main Street.

The two were seen loading copper into a vehicle around 4:00 a.m. on both mornings. The vehicle is describes as a light colored, 2-door, possible Hyundai, Honda, or similar-type car.

If you have any information on the identities of these suspects you are asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via text message to LCTIPS (528477). A $1,000 reward is being offered for tips.

The Crime Stoppers number and text messaging services are operational 24 hours a day and you do not have to give your name to collect a reward.
