EL PASO – A man was struck and killed by a train Wednesday night after attempting to drive around the crossing arms.

Alberto Salinas, 24, was trying to cross train tracks in the 300 block of North Zaragoza when his vehicle was struck by the train. Police say Salinas died at the scene. Speed is not considered to be a factor, but it is unclear whether alcohol was involved.
