SANTA TERESA- A man accused of killing a man in Albuquerque is arrested at the Santa Teresa port of entry.

Oscar Rodolfo Orejel, 19, was sought in connection with the May 17 shooting death of 20-year-old Miguel Barragan in Albuquerque.

The arrest was made after New Mexico State Police officers arrived at the Santa Teresa crossing Sunday afternoon to advise Customs and Border Protection that a man being sought in New Mexico was planning to turn himself in shortly.

Albuquerque police department officers also arrived at the port of entry to await the arrival of the suspect

At approximately 7:30 p.m Orejel arrived as a pedestrian and presented his identification documents to CBP officers at the port.

CBP officers confirmed the identity of the individual and took custody of the subject. The suspect was turned over to Albuquerque Police Department officials who then departed the port of entry with Orejel.

Finally now miguel will rest in peace.. I hope orejel stay the rest of his life in jail, so nobody will suffer any more .....

Lets not turn a blind eye. Though not condoning his actions there are two sides to every story. Indeed Oscar will have to answer to the authorities for his part in this tragic turn of events. This is a very tragic story which has no happy ending. His arrest changes nothing. There are two families hurting and unfortunately the hurt will never go away. May Miguel rest in peace and may God bless both families with peace and the ability to forgive. For only God can judge.
