Man Accused of Drunk Driving, Killing Police Officer Has Been Indicted

EL PASO- The man accused of causing the crash that killed an El Paso Police Officer last year has been indicted.
19-year-old Alejandro Fierro will go to trial on one count of manslaughter and two counts of aggravated assault for allegedly driving drunk and crashing his car into a police unit, killing Officer Karl McDonough.
The deadly crash happened last October at the intersection of Saul Kleinfeld and Zaragosa. Officer Ricardo Lopez, who was driving the police unit at time of the crash, was also injured in the wreck. A trial date has not yet been set.
