EL PASO-  Imagine being able to have the wedding of your dreams without having to spend a dime.
An event planning company in El Paso has teamed up with NewsChannel 9 to give one lucky couple the chance to do just that.

You have probably seen the promos running on NewsChannel 9:  Express Your Temptation Event Planning and Lifetime of Memories Company in El Paso is giving away a platinum wedding.

“My definition of a platinum wedding is, there is no budget. You go all out, price doesn't matter,” says event planner and co-organizer of the Platinum Wedding Giveaway, Cody Alcon.

Cody Alcon, the co-owner of EYT says the concept is similar to We-TV’s "My Fair Wedding" with celebrity wedding planner David Tutera.

“They do their weddings in what, three weeks. We have less than 3 weeks, 4 weeks before we have the wedding on August 12th,” says Alcon.

Alcon says he and his business partner, Rick Dominguez approached the vendors they work with and asked them to sponsor this Platinum Wedding. They are excited to do something for a couple that has had to put their wedding on hold.

“It's always hard to see sometimes planning people's weddings because they're on such a tight budget and it hurts sometimes that they can't get everything that they see on TV,” says Alcon.

Ruby Guerra, with Moments Capture Photography, is providing two photographers for the wedding as well as a videographer and everything that they couple will need to remember their special day.

“The album for the parents, their portraits of course, the engagement session, everything that you can think of photography wise is what we're going to be giving the couple,” says Guerra.

Catering, the floral arrangements, the cake, even the engagement ring are all included.  And of course there’s the dress.

“There'll be about 30 dresses to select from more or less and then she can just come in, go through the gowns and select then one that she wants,” says Veronica Valles of Imagine Events.

The bride and groom will also be featured in the January issue of Lifetime of Memories Bridal and Quince Extravaganza Magazine, which Alcon and his business partner, Rick, also run. Alcon says it's the only local  bridal and quince magazine in our area.  “Ours is an actual magazine where brides can get ideas, advice. We also have a column, Ask the Planner,” says Alcon.

Alcon says he can't wait to see a couple's dream wedding become a reality.  “We're all excited because it's something new; it's something different here in the El Paso, Las Cruces area. I don't think anybody has seen or done anything like this in this area,” says Alcon.

LOL @ Pat, learn how to spell before you start bashing people. I'm sure KTSM has a better clue then you. Pat have you held a Platinum Wedding Giveaway before? Nowhere does it mention anything about their website being platinum, but to me it sure looks pretty and has a great set up. Lots of links to other professionals in El Paso and pictures that can help you with ideas for your event. Seems like you have something personal, hopefully you get the help you need and take Louie while your at it :)!

"Platinum", REALLY?! Have you seen their website. I think the only thing "Plantinum" about them are their teeth or the rims on their cars. Its sad to see ktsm has no clue about good taste.

Seriously? How low can you get? How can you go talking about a company when you have no idea who they are? They helped me with my wedding earlier this year and everything was absolutely spectacular. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about these business owners. How embarrassing for you to make yourself look so ugly in the eyes of El Paso and LC. KTSM is made up of very intelligent people so stop trying to bring them down to your uneducated level. Grow up and respect your community.
