EL PASO -- If you have an outstanding warrant for a hot check, and you don't pay up by today, your name will be posted on El Paso County's website, said El Paso County Attorney Jo Anne Bernal.
There are currently 3,600 people in El Paso County with a hot check warrant who owe more than $3 million dollars to local businesses.
On Monday, the county will publish the names of those who haven't paid up on its website and in the local media.
Offenders still have until June 7th to pay without penalty of arrest as part of an amnesty period.
Bernal said that a massive, county-wide warrant roundup will take place between several law enforcement agencies following the amnesty period.
You can make a payment on a hot check warrant at the El Paso County Courthouse, El Paso County Ysleta Annex, or online at www.epcounty.com/CA.
