Las Cruces Farmers Market Voted America's Favorite
LAS CRUCES- The public has voted and the results are in. Las Cruces Farmers & Crafts Market has been voted America’s Favorite Farmers Market of all large markets in the nation.
The Las Cruces Farmers & Crafts Market had a total of 5,025 votes, placing it over 800 votes ahead of the 2nd place winner – New Braunfels Farm to Market in New Braunfels, Texas. The market was also the only market within New Mexico to rank nationally in any one of the contest categories.
As a “thank you” to the community for its 40 years of patronage, the market has been celebrating its anniversary all summer long with free special events. The final celebration is this Saturday, September 3rd, and with the new national ranking, this is going to be a big party downtown.
The online contest is a nationwide challenge hosted each year by American Farmland Trust . More information and complete rankings across the country can be found at www.farmland.org.
The Las Cruces Farmers & Crafts Market is open on Main Street Downtown Wednesday and Saturday mornings year round.
