LAS CRUCES- The Las Cruces Animal Shelter is facing a lawsuit.

The Humane Society of Southern New Mexico says more than 70 animals went missing from the shelter in 2010 and another 55 have been reported missing this year. The Humane Society is asking to see all of the shelter's records to find out what happened to the animals. The animal shelter denies any wrongdoing.

here at Pet Guardian Angel we know people fear their pet will be put down and this is modified if they are donating money to help in their care. We offer a photo of the dog adoption for an additional $5.00 If taking in a pet the agency should agree to keep that pet until it is adopted or not to take it in at all. Most do not take in sick or injured pets. Donor should get signed agreement and perhaps check on pet from time to time until adopted which may take months sometime. Martha Williams
