IDs Required to Vote in Texas

The Texas House passed a bill Wednesday requiring voters to show ID when voting. The measure had already been passed by the Texas Senate and now just needs Gov. Perry's signature to become law.

Republicans who favor the measure say this requirement will reduce voter fraud. Democrats, who largely oppose the the ID requirement, say that the bill is an attempt to make it more difficult for African-Americans and Latinos to vote.

The House vote was nearly 2-1 in favor of the ID requirement.

So someones crying that its to hard for others to vote if they are citizen what are they worried about.

They should have an ID and or DL as a gov. issued form of identification. Who doesn't have them? Even though a DL shouldn't be acceptable because anyone from outside the country can get one as of right now.

This is laughable of the ignorance of politicians who are trying to cheat on votes.

Looks like the Democrats' illegal alien constituents are taking a hit.

Why does it make it more difficult for African Americans and Latinos to vote? Aren't they citizens like the rest of us or are they so special that they deserve to just show up? Or maybe there is some other reason like maybe they aren't citizens or legally here.
