INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA- A physicians group put up a billboard near the Indianapolis Motor Speedway warning people about the potential close link between hot dogs and cancer.

It shows hot dogs sticking out of a cigarette pack and, says "Warning: hot dogs can wreck your health."

The "Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine" says eating one hot dog a day can increase the risk of colorectal cancer by 21 percent.

First off it isn't the meat thats the problem, its how their processed. It is a fact our body needs meat products but not in large quantities because our digestive track needs them.

Most people don't even know that warming your food in plastic containers in a microwave can cause cancer too.

Besides if hotdogs have been linked to this then bologna isn't to far off.

Well, don't just leave us hanging! What is it about hot dogs that can increase the risk of colorectal cancer? I doubt if there IS anything, but I'd like to hear what they have to say about it anyway.

Happy El Pasoan and any other El Pasoan, I strongly recommend you all look into the REAL FACTS about meat. We all think meat is so good for us but what you people don't see is that meat is the problem to obesity and heart diseases. Plant foods are naturally low in fat, rich in antioxidants and other anti-cancer compounds. Not surprisingly, vegetarians are at the lowest risk for cancer and have a significantly reduced risk compared to meat-eaters.
