EL PASO - It could be a couple of months until police know how much money was donated to a charity that is now under investigation.

Horizon police subpoenaed the bank records from 'Achieve the Dream.' They hope those records will tell them how much money the charity received and how it was spent.

'Achieve the Dream' was started by Angie Gomez, 18,. She claimed to have cancer herself, but the investigation started after someone questioned why they never saw her sick.

Horizon police say it could be a couple of months until they receive the records.

Gomez has not been arrested or charged in the investigation.

Incredible what lengths people will go to for money. They can't see past their greed. Meanwhile, there are so many people truly struggling with illness and financial issues who would rather work to be able to make ends meet. I wonder if this was worth it.
