Know what to throw

EL PASO- The City of El Paso Environmental Services Department reminds the public that most gift bags and wrapping paper are recyclable.

New and used paper gift bags and wrapping paper are accepted in the Curbside Recycling Program as long as they are not metallic. Holiday cards, envelopes and gift boxes may also be disposed of in the blue bins. Gift boxes should be flattened.  Bows and ribbons normally used to decorate gifts are not recyclable. They should be reused or disposed of in the gray trash bin.
