EL PASO- A man is in custody today after leading police on a high speed pursuit and foot chase Monday night.

Police pulled over 17-year-old Isaiah Portillo around 11:45 p.m. in a routine traffic stop, when Portillo suddenly sped off, driving at speeds of over 100 mph.

Portillo stopped abruptly after turning onto a dead end street and exited the vehicle on foot.

Officers chased and detained Portillo and noticed he was intoxicated.

Portillo was placed under arrest for evading arrest and detention with a vehicle.
