TEXAS- Governor Rick Perry is clearing up remarks that he made about running for the presidency.

Over the weekend, the Governor told a newspaper that he felt as if he were being "called" to run for president.
Today, he was asked if there were any religious overtones to that statement.

"I don't ever get confused. I am a man of faith. I don't make any apologies about my faithfulness and the fact of the matter is I think anyone who goes through life without having that foundation of faith, you know I don't know how they do it. I couldn't. So the idea do I look for signs and do I look for good scripture that tells me how to live my life? Absolutely, I do that."

Governor Perry says he's still evaluating whether to make a run for the white house.

Man of faith? I guess God gave him a sign to deny the requested pardon and go ahead and kill the Mexican national that was encarcerated in Texas last month.

There are laws of the land and then the laws of God. You either pay here or pay when you die. Did the man who was executed give his victim a chance? Did he think of God prior to killing the girl? Do you know the brutality of how he killed this girl? If not, stop your ridiculous posts. What is that man would have killed your mother, sister, wife or daughter? Would you feel the same? Or would you question Perry for his decision?
