Fort Bliss Sends Soldiers, Firefighters to Arizona Wildfire

FORT BLISS- 41 soldiers left Fort Bliss, heading for Fort Huachuca this morning to assist in the Arizona wildfires.

Their mission is to assist with evacuation and security in the fire areas.

Firefighters are leaving tomorrow to assist with the fire, but are sending a pumper truck today.

The Soldiers ordered to Arizona had been involved in training exercises in preparation for deployment. Once the fire assistance duties are complete the Soldiers will return to Fort Bliss and continue training.

The MP's and Fire Fighters may be in Arizona for up to 30 days.
