Flower is on Her Way Home

Flower is on her way back home. She's the eleven year old boxer found 16-hundred miles away from home. She was put on board a Continental Airlines flight in Cleveland this afternoon and is in the air now on her way to the Albuquerque airport. Flower disappeared from her home in El Paso in January and Christina Mata, her owner, was afraid she'd never see her again. But thanks to a concerned animal warden in Ohio and a microchip she'll soon see her dog again. Christina is driving to Albuquerque to pick her up. But the Animal Services director says it's important for pet owners to know that just getting the microchip is not enough. Make sure your vet registers the information with the city database. It's up to you to register it with a national database and and keep your information up to date. If you move or get a new phone number, notify the databases.
