EL PASO- El Paso Community College has released a statement saying there was a "breach into a public facing web server" recently.

EPCC says they have taken immediate action and are now working with the FBI Cyber Crime Unit on the case. Some student information has been affected and EPCC plans to notify those students, but exactly which information the hackers had access was not disclosed.

A spokesperson for EPCC said, "We immediately took care of the breach.", but she was unable to tell NewsChannel 9 how many students were affected or if any personal information was taken from students.

However, EPCC did confirm that they are emailing, calling, and sending letters to all students who were affected.
