ELEPHANT BUTTE, NM- Tonight marks the start of the 4th annual Elephant Days celebration at Elephant Butte.

This afternoon, festival goers can see quilt, woodworking, and woodcarving shows. Saturday begins with a parade at 11:00 a.m. Food, festivities, and vendor booths will be included in the weekend's events. This weekend also offers a golf tournament, drag boat races, fishing for kids, a farmers' market, and many areas to hike, camp, and participate in water sports.

For hot-air balloon fans, the Elephant Butte Balloon Regatta will also take place at the state park this weekend.
