EL PASO– Police have now confirmed that the woman involved in an early morning accident on Montana has died.

Rejean Vela, 22, was rear-ended by 24-year-old Christopher Ruiz while driving on Montana this morning. Vela sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Del Sol Medical Center.

There were two other passengers with Vela at the time of the crash. Both were treated for minor non-life threatening injuries. Investigators have determined that speed and alcohol attributed to Ruiz are factors in this crash.

Ruiz was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a charge of Intoxicated Assault. His bond was set at $25,000.00. All occupants were wearing seat belts

And no justice was served. Where is this criminals mugshot? Oh wait daddy paid good money to keep it hush hush.

It's a shame that this young lady had to loose her life to this low life young man. But the way El Paso works is that he will have to kill 3 more people before they do anything to him.
I have NEVER IN MY LIFE seen where you can drive drunk in this city and they just close their eyes to it.
